Tunisia Delivery Companies 2026: Cash on Delivery Couriers Compared

Cash-on-delivery parcels ready for dispatch in a courier warehouse in Tunisia

In short: in Tunisia, more than two out of three online orders are still paid cash on delivery. Your courier therefore controls your margin, your cash flow and your return rate.

  • Only fully public rate card we found: Intigo, from 9 TND down to 6.50 TND incl. VAT for a small parcel (up to 5 kg) depending on 30-day volume, free returns if your return rate stays at or below 5%.
  • Navex, First Delivery, Best Delivery, Colissimo Tunisie, JAX, Adex: quote-based pricing, typically around 6 to 9 TND per parcel in 2026.
  • Rapid-Poste still has the widest reach (1,000+ post offices) but works on drop-off and with less predictable lead times.
  • The real cost is not the listed price: it is price ÷ delivery rate + return fees + payout fees.

Cash on delivery in Tunisia: why your courier choice matters so much in 2026

According to figures compiled by Mallatech, about 70% of Tunisian e-commerce orders were still paid in cash on delivery in 2026, down from 82% in 2022. Your courier is not just a supplier: it collects your revenue, holds it for several days and bills you for every refused parcel. Two companies that both charge 7 TND can produce very different results depending on:

  • the actual delivery rate (how many parcels are handed over and paid);
  • return fees (free, flat, or the price of a full delivery);
  • the COD payout schedule (daily, weekly, every two weeks) and its fees;
  • coverage of the 24 governorates: Greater Tunis, the Sahel and Sfax are easy; Tataouine, Kebili or Jendouba much less so.

Keep this formula in mind. If a parcel costs 8 TND, 25% of orders come back and a return costs 4 TND, each delivered order costs you 8 ÷ 0.75 = 10.67 TND plus (4 × 25) ÷ 75 = 1.33 TND of returns: 12 TND per real sale, not 8.

Other players worth testing

Best Delivery (same day for pickups before noon, next day in major cities, warehousing), Colissimo Tunisie (claims 24-hour distribution in all regions), Adex (Sfax-based, known for reliable remittances), JAX Delivery, Jetpack, Goodex (strong in Nabeul), Droppex, Box Express, MZ Logistic, Axess Logistique. Egypt's Mylerz announced a Tunisian launch in 2022; we found no verifiable rate card or COD activity in 2026, so confirm before relying on it.

Best Tunisian courier for… (2026 ranking)

  1. Best for starting with a predictable budget: Intigo, because you know the price, the return cost and the 5% threshold upfront.
  2. Best for high volume and same-day: First Delivery (advertised branch network and fleet), or Best Delivery in big cities.
  3. Best for the South and rural areas: Rapid-Poste, paired with a private courier for Greater Tunis and the coast.
  4. Best for high-value goods or export: Aramex Tunisia, accepting a higher price.
  5. Best regional option: a strong local player in your area (Goodex in Nabeul, Adex in Sfax), tested for one month on part of your orders.

A setup many sellers use: two couriers in parallel, one for Greater Tunis and the coast, one for inland and the South, then compare delivery rates per governorate after 300 parcels.

How to negotiate with a Tunisian delivery company

  1. Bring your numbers: monthly volume, split by governorate, average weight, current return rate.
  2. Negotiate returns before price: 1 TND off the outbound fee is worth less than free returns if your return rate is above 20%. From around 100 parcels a month, discounted returns are negotiable.
  3. Insist on at least weekly payouts with no minimum threshold. Anything slower means your cash is financing the courier.
  4. Get hidden fees in writing: pickup, exchange, address change, per-payout fee, stamp duty, withholding tax.
  5. Ask for an early tier: for example the 501-1,500 tier price from month two if you reach 300 parcels.

Cutting parcel returns in Tunisia: 7 practical moves

  • Confirm every order by call or WhatsApp before shipping: local platforms report 30-40% fewer returns.
  • Blacklist numbers that have already refused a parcel.
  • Require a full address: governorate, delegation, landmark.
  • Ship within 24 hours: every day of waiting increases refusals.
  • Show an all-in price on the product page (delivery included) so there is no surprise at the door.
  • Send a reminder on delivery day (0.10 TND per SMS at Intigo, for example).
  • Track by governorate: if one area exceeds 35% returns, ask for a deposit or switch courier for that area.

Checklist before signing with a courier

  • Written rate card: small parcel, large parcel, zones, maximum weight.
  • Exact cost of a return, an exchange, a recipient change.
  • Payout frequency, method and fees; maximum delay in business days.
  • Liability for loss or damage and compensation cap.
  • Pickup cut-off time and pickup days.
  • Data export (Excel, API) for bookkeeping and parcel tracking.
  • No-commitment trial of at least one month.
